The Feast of the Knife is preparing for Nontron. On August 5th and 6th, the Coutellerie Nontronnaise will unveil its know-how.
Beautiful blades unveiled to visitors … All the city of Nontron is preparing for the Knife Festival which will take place on August 5 and 6, 2017. This meeting became inevitable in Périgord Vert attracts many visitors with the many manufacturers and a Forge workshop in partnership with the Etouars Metallurgy Festival in Périgord.
The living soul of Nontron, the Nontronnaise cutlery, will not be left out to show all the talents of craftsmen passionate for centuries. The Nontron knives will be visible on three places in the capital of Périgord Vert: a stand on the cutler’s tray whose entrance is paying, the shop of the Coutellerie rue Carnot but also the workshop / shop Place Paul Bert with possibility to follow the Knife manufacturing steps only on Saturdays.
TRADITIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY KNIVES
For all employees of the Manufacture de Nontron, this festive event is no less an opportunity to offer visitors a complete range of products made in the purest tradition of French cutlery. Alongside the traditional boxwood knives, the latest rainbow creation and table knives with colored sleeves made from compressed fabrics, prove that our multi-century cutlery knows how to adapt to the tastes and trends of our time.
Design knives will also be visible to the public, this is the case of the Nontron collection designed by prestigious designers such as Christian Ghion, Eric Raffy or Olivier Gagnère … Not to mention the unique Damascus folding blades. All these knives will be well understood available for sale.
