South of Périgueux, an hour away from Nontron, town of knives, Capucine and Patrick Sermadiras of Pouzols de Lile are the proud owners of the Manoir d’Eyrignac, in Périgord, where they live as 21 generations of the family before them. The garden of the Manor is one of the most beautiful and most visited in France (90,000 people per year). It is here that we find one of the most beautiful representations of Topiary art in France that make it one of the most beautiful gardens in France. As delicate embroidery shades of green are boxwood, yew, charms, ivy, that visitors come to admire between Lascaux and Sarlat on 10 hectares of plant sculptures with the white garden, the family vegetable garden, many associations of flowers and fruits in the new garden of the springs.

The storyteller Violette delivers us with delight its moments of walk: For a few weeks, the spring settled well on the Dordogne. The gardens of the Manor of Eyrignac have put on their beautiful flowery clothes plunging nature. The show is magical and allows more to apprehend the colors associated with curvature of the garden, the roundness of boxwood, the size of the bower.

Passionate about cooking, Capucine Sermadiras of Pouzols de Lile receives at his table friends and visitors passing around simple and gourmet dishes and whose recipes are passed from generation to generation, carefully noted in an old notebook … A timeless notebook, original and unpublished – The notebook is “reversible”, allowing the reader to note his own recipes – illustrated with engravings from the collections of the Manor and photographs of the extraordinary garden of eight hectares surrounding it.
